actually no one died in the main group. the gay fandom (which I am part of) got super mad (which I understand) and renamed the goddamn CHARACTERS ( edited their names, edited their appearances) and SHIPS to their liking in an AU and announced it the new official ship. in all honesty, to me, that just sounds like a fanfic – or someone desperate that they are stealing the characters and tweaking them to their liking so it fits with the fandom or their preference. i’m old enough to know it doesn’t work like that, even.. if i REALLY WANT IT TO. it’s really insulting to the people who voice them when they had no hand it it but are being attacked while dreamworks is like ‘lol fuck gay ppl’.

I EVEN SIGNED THE DAMN PETITION ) , it’s just the fact that a lot of people in the tag from what i’ve seen are blaming the voice actors rather than dreamworks? and then dragging out the AU and tweaking the characters and calling it canon. that’s the toxic part i don’t like. and the new ship name sort of resonates with that. i’m apologizing rn if that seems confusing but like… klance fandom is wild and everyone knows it. and i get why you guys wanna change the ship to better it, but damn – i’m checking out tweaks of the characters traits and looks and it’s like a new character. if you RENAME a character.. “hi, you are no longer ____ “ because i prefer you to be “___” it’s just… idk insulting? forgive me if that seems odd?? but its… just.. idk, weird/insulting to me. i would never wanna be renamed if i didn’t agree with someone’s ideology or preferences is all? I’m seriously not trying to be mean or sarcastic here.
Let’s rename all the characters in a series that we don’t agree with to something we want, steal the appearances with minor tweaks, steal the backstory, steal the personalities, and call it ours. Wow. Yeah. Good thinking!!!!!!
i’m sorry but keith visualizing lance first when he was fighting shiro,,, keith picking lance to leave the game show because he knew lance was the most desperate to get back to earth,,, keith calling out lance’s name first when they were trapped by sendak,,, keith yelling lance’s name not only once, but twice, sounding the most concerned, and saying it last and it being the clearest concern out of the rest of the paladins when lance was about to die,,, that’s love, bitch.
